Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Aspire Physical Therapy and Wellness different?
We focus on a whole body approach to find the true root cause of your symptoms. You are more than your symptoms or affected body part and your body as a whole works together to function well. We want to ensure that you get back to doing what you love confidently, not just a temporary fix of symptoms.
Do I need a referral before I schedule an appointment?
No, you can schedule your appointment as soon as you are ready! In Texas, we can treat you for 30 days without a referral. We will also work with you and your other medical providers to ensure all necessary paperwork is received so we can continue your care.
I've been to pelvic PT before, can you really help?
Absolutely! Not all clinics or providers are the same. If you did not see improvements or the change was temporary with your last attempt at pelvic PT, we would love to help find the true root cause and partner with you to meet your goals!
How long will my visits be?
Each visit is an hour long and is one-on-one with Dr. Jami. In each visit we will discuss current concerns, progress, continued goals of treatment, and our plan.
Will I see the same person each time?
Yes! Each visit is with Dr. Jami. You do not ever need to worry about being shuffled between providers or being passed off to a tech or aide.
Is pelvic floor PT just Kegels?
Absolutely not! For many conditions Kegels can actually make symptoms worse. When strengthening of the pelvic floor is needed, we focus on functionally training you to activate the correct muscles so you can go back to not having to think about your pelvic floor.
What should I expect at my first visit?
You will be welcomed by our patient care coordinator and start your appointment with Dr. Jami. We will go through your concerns and goals, perform a through exam, and develop a plan going forward. You will get treatment and some things to begin at home as well on the first visit.
