In postpartum care we address any pelvic floor issues (prolapse, urinary incontinence, urinary urgency/frequency, pelvic pain, constipation) as well as go over various positions for feeding, carrying baby/car-seat, and any other movements that may cause discomfort. Even if you do not feel like you have significant symptoms, it is always beneficial to have at least one visit with a pelvic floor therapist in the postpartum period.
